BYA Founder Eddy Vainuku has been a football and basketball coach, at both the collegiate and high school level in this area, for many years. Football has been in Eddy's family for generations. His younger brother Soma Vainuku played professionally and currently owns and operates Pro Athletics training facility in Redding, California.

In 2021, we transitioned 3 teams of football players (ages 8-14) from another association. We took over the program in late June and the season started in August. We worked hard and got players, coaches and families ready for our first practice by August 1st. Our 10-11 age group team made it to the playoffs and our 12-14 team to the Championship.

In 2022, we officially became Redwood Beasts Youth Football & Cheer. We had a host of returning and new football players and 40+ NEW cheerleaders. Both our football and cheer teams enjoyed successes in the 2022 Season.

In 2023 we will be participating in the NEW NorPac Youth Football & Cheer conference.
